The last few months have seen yet again a lot of activity in your favourite Final Fantasy XIV free company. While we feverishly wait for the new expansion, we’ve been extra busy clearing up all the fights, farming shinies and saying goodbye to old friends by kicking their butt up to the moon. Almost every day of the week is a different event so that everyone, no matter their experience or knowledge of the game or available time can find a group and play the game without worrying about Duty Finder or Party Finder! And then they’ll say “yeah I cleared that in 5.0 I brought all the shadows man you should have seen it 5.0 was so good I mean FF XIV really peaked at Shadowbringers because yeah Mists of Paissas was okay I guess but it really went downhill with Warlords of Moghome”.
Let’s have a look at a regular week in Paranoid!
Monday – Requests and progression
Monday is the requests and progression event! We take requests, we group up, and we do the thing! Priority is always given to MSQ-related activities, and then to normal-difficulty instances. It’s perfect for sprouts who are going through MSQ, or if you have an optional trial in your quest log (or twenty-seven level 50 dungons).
Tuesday – Savage Raid
Thursday is the first raid night of the week. We may not be professional raiders by any mean, but we’ve been working on Eden’s Promise for a while now and have cleared E9S, E10S and E11S already. Now we’re aiming to finish the raid series before Endwalker.
Our goal in this event is always to stay true to our ethos and to be as inclusive as possible despite the difficulty. In lieu of a static, we have a rotating pool of players so that we can adjust the party when someone cannot join one night. We also scarcely use voice chat since we are, after all, a company for people with social anxiety. And talking sucks.
Wednesday – Shadowbringers Extreme All-Stars
Often an open day for clearing normal raids or alliance raids, we’ve spent all our Wednesdays in these last patchless months clearing all extreme trials of Shadowbringers. Every 2 to 3 weeks, we’ll start a new trial and try to get a clear for people who never had the chance to be there. The initial goal was to farm dragons, but the fun is always in learning a new fight and getting better at it! This event is a great introduction for players who hit level 80 recently and want to test their skills in new challenges.
Thursday – Early Savage Raid
Another introductory event, this one brings us to the earlier savage raids of the expansion. Whether you’re brand new to savage content or coming back from a break, it’s a place to learn some of the most difficult fights of the game while having your complete set of skills and with some margin for errors.
The group has gone through Eden’s Verse recently with a bit of a rocky end in E4S, and is now proging E5S with truly striking results.
Friday – Savage Raid 2
It’s like Tuesday evening but Mom lets me play longer on the Nintendo.
Saturday – Social Event (1/month)
Once every month we’ll assemble in the FC house’s basement (it’s better than it sounds) for a very special event that is all about that thing we all are not very good at: socializing! To help members with that dreadful task, each event has a different activity and a different dress code. Let’s see some photos from the last months.
Sunday – Farming and miscellaneous
Finally, after all these emotions, we usually don’t organize any event for Sundays, although some members have been gathering to farm mounts from previous expansions or to have more training in Savage!
And so we’d like to thank everyone who’s been participating and helping in these activities! The event calendar will definitely be changed at the start of the new expansion (and the officers will be too busy crying in front on their screen to deal with any kind of event probably), but we hope you will still be there to have fun with all of us in the game!
